cricket - the gentleman's sport. if you're not any good at it then you're screwed.
latin prep - the never-ending hell of verb conjugation
cadet corps - why is that when men play they play at killing?
fagging - where the upper forms make the junior brats do their work for them. institutionalised bullying.
midnight adventures - be it stealing a bit of ginger beer and bread from the kitchens or meeting another students in the library.
masters - the teaching staff... but only during the day.
prefects - as no staff remain in the boarding houses at night, prefects rule in the evenings. the gods of the school.
exeat - three-quarter term holidays where the students are allowed to leave school on the weekends to adventure about the town.
caning - a brutal punishment dealt out just as often by the older students upon the younger ones than by the masters themselves.
